Permission to change display name is controlled (in standard SMF setup) by "Edit account settings --> Own Profile".

The problem is that permission covers a *LOT* of stuff that the user is/isn't allowed to do, that's why this MOD appeared. If you uninst...

There is a permission for it... i suspect that the issue us related to the mod

1- mod related issues shpuld be addressed in tge thread dedicated to supporting that mod.

2- if you read that support topic, i expect that it is behaving as expected
