No, my point of referring to it as 'half a wiki page' is because it's literally half a page in length compared to some of the other pages.



As a brief intro, it's great. You don't actually need more than that for the basics, because that will cover 95%+...

Most of it is pure voodoo. I've been using regex in PHP for a decade and never touched half the stuff in the full manual, nor I suspect would I ever need to.



95%, probably even 99% of the use cases that turn up on our forums don't go beyond the absolut...
