You may have to edit the template file of your theme and call the ads file using include('ads.php'); wherever you want the ad to show. The default template file for wap2 is at .../Themes/default/Wireless.template.php

well, actually, it has everything to do with the ad management mod -- since SMF does not show ads by default -- and will never display ads.php unless you have a mod or have added the code to tell it to do so.
