Hello friends. I need help. I installed the 2.0.1 as my SMF forum. the installation do it from my server, the installation path is user / public_html / forum

everything was fine. but the old version that is installed and enter the package manager to update kicks me a blank page. if I go to change language, also brings me to a blank page. that could be happening?

I'm in the same boat as the OP. I have a YABB 2.5.2 forum I last upgraded a few years ago. I'm sick of needing PERL, and it's time to go. Problem is, the converters don't work. The two I tried were :

smf_2-0_yabb2_converter.zip

smf_2-0_yabb_converter.zip

The only one that almost worked was the second one. When I run it, it hangs at:

Converting membergroups...Field 'description' doesn't have a default value

The other file, smf_2-0_yabb2_converter.zip, doesn't recognize the YABB directory.

Is this the right converter file for YABB 2.5.2? Is there another one? Is there a way to get past the error?

I was going over the XML for this when I noticed it wouldnt install on 1.1.11 and it seems that this mod is made for 2.0 specifcally. Any chance to get a copy of this for 1.1.11 or will adding 1.1.11 to the XML's install and uninstall lines allow it to work for me.

I like to know if there is a mod to end to create groups of members of limited duration (without going through the paid subscription)?

I use SMF Shop and I would like the members of my forum to use their "credits" at the end of access to different groups based on the "sum" paid.

The "Change Group" function exists in the SMF mod Shop but once the member has been "buying" it belongs to the group for an indefinite period, I change hand in the administration to put the original group after a while but it is very convenient.

A paid subscription but using the points system mod.

Is there any way for SMF to cache the images posted by users inside their posts (URLs in the [img] tags) so that they would be stored on some directory local to the server and served from there instead of from the external URL?

I mean, when some user writes his post, and inserts some image between the [img] tags, the script downloads that image from the URL provided by the user into some directory local to the server, and when this post is being displayed, it loads the image form that local directory instead of the original external URL. But when the user edits his post, he can still see the external URL (if he wanted to update it or something).

I ask about that, because I find many broken URLs to external images which doesn't exist anymore, but they're still referred from the posts on my forum. If they were stored locally, this wouldn't be a problem, since they could be then loaded from the local cache.

J'utilise SMF Shop et je souhaiterai que les membres de mon forum puissent utiliser leurs "crédits" à fin d'accéder à différents groupes en fonction de la "somme" versée.

La fonction "changer de Groupe" existe dans le mod SMF Shop mais une fois que le membre a fait "l'achat" il fait partie du groupe pour une durée illimitée,je fais le changement à la main dans l'administration pour remettre le groupe d'origine après un certain temps mais cela n'est vraiment très pratique.

Un système d'abonnement payant mais en utilisant les points du mod.

Yes it is a little bit. Some avatars are visible and some not. The same with attachments. So rights are good.

Try to check if the images are actually uploaded by trying to select a different avatar from the avatar gallery. I think there may be a problem with your avatar folder and if so you should double check the path. And indeed try other browsers as well, try also to delete the forum cache and re-uploading them.

I will attach my own setting so you can see if there is something different and maybe try the same thing..

Refer to this topic for more accurate information but mainly i am requesting this mod to be updated to smf 2.0 though no-one might use that old code to update it because the author is absent (i'm currently trying to contact him to get further informations). Maybe someone will do this? It could be VERY useful for this very same forum as well.

I will edit/reply if i get a reply from the author of that mod, inspiring to the old code may be much easier than doing it again from scratch.

But the changes are significant and far-reaching in this release... so it's not something that you want to manually try - especially since the package manager patch can do it all automatically.

aw, i was messing around with gallery 2 and i had a mod installed for the integration of that. of course i deinstalled it when i decided to go for coppermine.

since i was sure not to have any mods installed and just double checked before stating this i found "gallery 2 integration v 1.0" mod to be still listed as installed package. deinstalling again does not work, because "file could not be found".

so, i guess this is the problem and i need to figure out a way to clean this out somehow...

Arkadaşlar index'de kategori ile banner arasına bu 4 grubun resimlerini koyup altlarına toplam puanlarını yazmak istiyorum. Burada toplam puan o gruptaki üyelerin karma sayılarının toplamı.

Indeed, yes I agree. It's completely Margerett's call. If he/she's already working on one, that's no problem. I was simply offering, but of course, I am still willing to help/assist if necessary.

This Forums.net is all new to me, but it does seem a little strange how you have to request for a DB file from PB when you're paying for the service. In a real scenario, by the time you receive your DB export/dump, it may be already outdated unless the board is set offline.

I have to admit - some of the technical things about it are above my level of comprehension.

1) please give me a really simple overview ... and

2) please tell me how to adjust my settings so that real visitors are not accidentally blocked? )I currently have everything set to default and I am afraid to make any changes because I do not understand how it works or what to try.)

Yesterday one of my head admins was blocked for an entire day & that told me I really need to learn more about this. I suspect that other real visitors may also be being blocked.

That's sort of what I meant but not the way to do it. current() only returns one element of the array so you're making multiple calls to ssi_fetchPosts(). You should build the array first, then use that as the parameter in ssi_fetchPosts() as such:

However, simpler yet, the following is a re-write of the ssi_fetchPosts() function which will return all posts in a topic. Add this to the end of SSI.php before the closing ?>.

Call it like so. Since it's an array you need to loop though each of the elements. Do change the first parameter to the id of your topic.

After reading through the entire thread Illori linked to, I can see where 'extract the files from the archive' would be optimum.

I can also understand Kindred's desire for the docs to be "formal and professional" but for someone who's completely new at this, that makes it extremely "OMG! looking", as K@ put it. I don't think I'd attempt to follow the instructions in the 'Official' version because it assumes I have basic knowledge of how cPanels/MySQL/etc. works, which I don't. (Well, I do understand cPanels but you get the idea.) For example, the Official version says "SMF 2.0 supports MySQL, has PostgreSQL and SQLite." I don't even know what that means.

At any rate, the Friendly version is the one I'd use if I were to attempt to create my forum from scratch. If I were writing it, I'd change some too friendly phrases like "Anyway, once you've uploaded ..." to "Once you've uploaded ..." etc.

And that's my two cents worth. Film at 11.

I think the test of "should it be in the Glossary" is.

* Is it a term that is commonly used in the documentation and/or on the support boards, or perhaps used infrequently, but essential to understanding some other SMF concept?

* Is it a term that someone new to SMF would likely find confusing?

On that basis, it seems clear that Topic display" should not be a glossary term.

On the other hand, it seems plausible that someone might not understand "header" or else need to understand where the SMF Forum Header ends, but I am not 100% sure one way or the other on forum header, because I have not pored through the documentation and support boards looking for evidence one way or the other.

Installing mods is not related to our servers though, if you encounter slow loads with your own SMF installation you should be looking at your server/host.

Of course as a workaround i downloaded all mods one by one and uploaded them as .rar, a bit boring but at least it worked. Sorry for the slightly off-topic thing, back to the subject now: as you may have already understood i was downloading all the mods from THIS LIST, actually http://ift.tt/eYgvQt so the data exchange was between my browser and your host, my host didn't matter in that.

This Forums.net is all new to me, but it does seem a little strange how you have to request for a DB file from PB when you're paying for the service. In a real scenario, by the time you receive your DB export/dump, it may be already outdated unless the board is set offline.

Steps for Purchasing Property in Japan

1. Finance

Speak to your bank about finance. Housing Japan is able to help with introductions to expatriate friendly lenders.

2. Search

Get to know the market. Spend time searching the web-site and talking to your agent about properties. Look at the recent sales and understand the values and relative prices of properties in your target range.

3. Inspections

The more you see the better you will understand the market and the easier it will be to make the decision to buy when you find the right property.

4. Application

When you find the right property submit an “application to purchase”. This is a non-binding written expression of your interest to purchase the property at certain price. An application shows the seller you are serious and will start the negotiation process.

5. Explanation of Important Matters

Once the price is agreed your agent will start the contract process. The agent is required to investigate the details of the property and provide you with an “Explanation of Important Matters”. This document defines all the important terms of the contract. You should read and fully understand this document before executing the contract.

6. Executing the Contract

The contract execution usually takes place at the agent’s offices and takes about 2 hours to complete. It is typical to pay the owner a deposit of 10% or JPY 10 million at the time of the contract.

7. Loan Application

While you may have pre-approval from a lender, once the contract is complete you can make the formal loan application. It usually takes a month to six weeks for final approval after which the final closing date can be set. If you using finance, the contract will have a clause saying that you are applying for a mortgage from a particular bank with a proposed approval date. If, for some reason, the mortgage is not approved the contract will be terminated at no cost.

8. Final Settlement

Buyers of residential property are subject to one-time acquisition tax of 1.5% of the government valuation of the land and 3% of the value of the building. 2. Registration Tax (登録免許税)

5. Agents Fees (仲介手数料)

Agent fees are set at 3.15% of sale price + ¥63,000

I installed the email inactive users mod and i noticed that an error popped out as i reported in the support topic of that mod but i was told that the error is not related to it and it's something wrong with my previous settings..

J'ai installé le mod Calendar Event Reminder aujourd'hui il n'y avait qu'une erreur à corriger, je l'ai donc faite manuellement. Mais hélas ça ce n'est pas présenté comme prévu... Ok i have open a private forum for a team and they asked me a feature i could not solve by myself.

When a answer is ready on a thread, the category/directory of this thread and the thread itself are mark as NEW

Let say you have multiple answers on multiple threads inside this category. If the user visit one of these threads and come back to the main page, the category/directory is not mark as New anymore, even if there are still new threads inside. Is it possible to let the category mark as new if the member has not visited all threads marks as new?

I don't know if i am clear
