I need to update my forum as soon as I can! The problem is: I can't update my forum and I have a very old set of files.
When I try to update my forum from within the admin board, I get a 403 forbidden error.
Solution:
1. I guess I need to start at this page: http://ift.tt/VGzP28
2. I see a new word "patching" and I clicked on it to see what it means
3. I now know what it means and I realise this is what I need to do (http://ift.tt/1nTkw2S(term)) - because I have SMF version 2.0.2. and I want to move to the newest version, SMF 2.0.7
4. I get at this page: http://ift.tt/WrWWKu and I read this "If patching reports errors or if you need to move to a newer major version of SMF then you should use the Upgrading procedure"
5. Ok, so, I got errors and therefore I need to use the upgrading procedure. But before I do that, can anyone tell me if the 403 forbidden error can be solved somehow? (I do have an SEO mod installed, that I want to unstall a.s.a.p. That mod has access to my htacess files)
