Re: Could SMF be modified to be community moderated forum?

I'm a big fan of SMF forums. I'm planning to create a new forum - however I will need to apply a few modifications to it.

The most important one is community moderation. If you know stackoverflow.com, you might have a clue what I'm talking about. If not, please read further.

The forum will not have a moderator and administrator except for hidden account used to fix broken stuff. Instead this forum should save every edit, allow users to vote to apply edit or backroll edit.

Similarly, there should be a chance to vote to move a topic and to delete it.

I don't need any reputation system - actually I don't want it. The board is meant to serve a small group of people - that's why I want everyone to appear equal - even if they, eg. often post bad posts.

Is this possible without digging into internal code of SMF? I'm very familiar with PHP (and with javascript too).
