Нужно заведение темы по форме. Чтобы пользователь заполнял форму после нажатия на кнопку новая тема, и по этому шаблону создавалось первое сообщения, например как заведение новой раздачи на рутрекере. Возможно ли это реализовать на СМФ и какак это сделать если возможно?

I have a couple of questions. I was designing a template on my site with an image hosted at imgur as the background of the div. On preview, it looked great, but every time I would actually post the template, the external url would automatically turn into bbcode and screw up my template.
I turned off "automatically turn links into bbcode links", but then that screwed with another one of my mods, and I would really like to turn the links into bbcode again...

Is there any way to use a background image in a div:

1. without the link automatically turning into a click-able link

2. without uploading the background-image to my server (my members also make templates that have background images that are external links and I don't want to have to force them to upload all their background images to my server).

I suppouse your code is

You have two solutions:

1. Upload image to your server. But you can not to do this

2. Use html instead of my MOD

Salve a tutti, premetto che non sono un esperto di computer, forum ed altro, però da alcuni mesi sono iscritto ad uno che dovrebbe essere basato su SMF 2.0.2 .

Nei giorni scorsi ho cambiato l'indirizzo e-mail associato al mio profilo e da allora non riesco più ad accedere poichè non mi è arrivata la mail di attivazione per confermare il cambio dei dati. Ho anche provato a fare un nuovo profilo (che eliminerò non appena recupererò il profilo originale) per cercare di contattare gli amministratori e chiedere informazioni, ma non c'è nulla da fare, le mail di attivazione non arrivano (ho anche guardato nelle cartelle di spam, ma zero).

Qualcuno sa gentilmente darmi un aiuto?

in which case, your other statement is incorrect, and you have modifications which are not displayed on your list...

Basically, the only way you get that error is if you had the board order fix in place before applying the 2.0.8 patch (which has the same fix in it - and the duplicate code casues the error)

Hola, disculpa, pero te doy un consejo, no sirve ni tiene sentido alguno que registrés cuentas masivamente en tu foro, casi todos los mensajes están escritos por vos y gente de tu staff.

Yo no lo veo etico a eso, nunca lo vi etico, es lo mismo que en los chats IRC's que muchos Admins llenan los canales/salas de "supuestos usuarios", que realmente, "son clones", osea bots, conexiones proxys o locales y le asignan diferentes nicks para hacerle creer al usuario que entre a ese chat, que son personas.

Disculpame, pero a mi no me parece etico eso, osea casi todos los temas de tu foro están iniciados por vos y personas de tu staff (o serás vos mismo con otra cuenta).

A lo que voy es que no puede haber casi 600 usuarios cuando vos y tu staff tienen la mayoría de msjs en tu foro, uno se da cuenta, nadie se va a registrar por registrar, si lo hacen, es seguro para postear, ya sea para preguntar, pedir ayuda, ayudar a los demás usuarios, etc.

No creo en lo absoluto que esas cuentas sean todas de usuarios.

Y otro consejo, el color del botón del buscador apenas se nota, debería tener un color más oscuro.

Te lo digo como usuario, o como visitante y de la mejor manera posible. No lo tomes como agresión por favor, es un consejo y mi punto de vista.

Lo he instalado en un foro SMF 2.0.1 de prueba (con unos pocos MODs ya instalados). Tras la instalación redirecciona bien y también navega correctamente entre las opciones del menú (miscelánea,...).

Prueba a instalar la última versión. Si no va y puedes, prueba con un foro que no tenga MODs para ir añadiendo tus MODs no sea uno de ellos el responsable.

Yo opino lo mismo que la señorita Suki.

En mi Foro todos los días entran bots de Google, a cada rato estan en mi Foro, por todas partes y buscando en Google la palabra "Foro de Programacion general", el mío sale en las primeras páginas, acabo de probar, salgo en cuarto lugar (esto no siempre es así, algunas veces mi Foro no aparece en el mismo lugar), pero casi siempre en la primera o segunda página, para mi eso, ya es muy importante y eso que todavía es un Foro pequeño.

Esto es todo lo que se necesita:

Ejemplo:

etc, etc.

Pero como SMF ya cuenta con esto, no necesitás lo que te dije, pero si sirve para indexar, a lo que apunto es a las palabras claves, mientras más le pongas, mejor, tampoco la tontera de ponerle cientas, las más importantes nomás.

Puedes poner las palabras claves en la caja de texto que dispone SMF.

Esto se encuentra en Administración | Características y Opciones | y luego agregás las palabras en la opción: Palabras clave meta (meta keywords) asociadas con el foro.

Esa es toda la gran ciencia.

Solo una cosa, como podría cambiar la ubicación del botón html y ponerlo al lado de insertar imagen?

Buenas gohanjaja, ve a Administración ---> "Configuración Del Foro" ---> "Tema Actual" y allí dentro verás debajo de la "colección de smileys" esta opción

Especifica el ancho del foro. Ejemplos: 950px, 80%, 1240px." en la casilla lo vas ajustando... entre 95% o 90% o 97% dependiendo cómo lo veas Tú cada que cambies un valor.... (claro en otra ventana vas recargando (F5) el Index para que puedas ver el cambio y bueh, se ajuste a la pantalla o más menos el aproximado que más estético encuentres.... espero te sirva la ref

I'm having this problem, when I hit the "New" button it doesn't take me to the last post read, it takes me to the last post of the thread. Also when I quote a post then click the link in the quoted post it doesn't take me back to said post, and when I switch pages (ex. going from page 9 to page 10) it takes me to the last post of page 10. Yet I just found out today that it seems it may be a browser problem. I use Firefox, but out of curiosity I loaded my site on IE and all the problems were gone. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I thought maybe someone here might have an answer to my problems with Firefox, cause I do not like IE, at all!

This is not a creative work, its a port from Anno Online Forum theme to SMF2.1. I probably won't release this theme at this stage but you can expect this theme to be released after SMF 2.1 Beta 1.

I ported this theme on bit old build so you may see some glitches at screenshots.

This is not a creative work, its a port from Anno Online Forum theme to SMF2.1. I probably won't release this theme at this stage but you can expect this theme to be released after SMF 2.1 Beta 1.

I ported this theme on bit old build so you may see some glitches at screenshots.

- Original theme uses images for parts, this theme does not use theme.

- Theme uses HTML5/CSS3.

Salve a tutti, premetto che non sono un esperto di computer, forum ed altro, però da alcuni mesi sono iscritto ad uno che dovrebbe essere basato su SMF 2.0.2 .

Nei giorni scorsi ho cambiato l'indirizzo e-mail associato al mio profilo e da allora non riesco più ad accedere poichè non mi è arrivata la mail di attivazione per confermare il cambio dei dati. Ho anche provato a fare un nuovo profilo (che eliminerò non appena recupererò il profilo originale) per cercare di contattare gli amministratori e chiedere informazioni, ma non c'è nulla da fare, le mail di attivazione non arrivano (ho anche guardato nelle cartelle di spam, ma zero).

Qualcuno sa gentilmente darmi un aiuto?

J'ai voulu installer la nouvelle version 2.0.8 de SMF mais avant la finalisation de l'installation le nombres d'erreurs est vraiment immense (Voir PJ)... Ce qui effrait un peu surtout que j'ai l'impression de me palucher la MAJ à la main...

Qu'est ce que vous en penser ? Il y a un réel problème, ou c'est normal ?

Hi everyone I have a tough one and very urgent as well.

My forum says that he has been unable to send an email from an announced topic but not to everybody. It seems that it randomly sent a few ones but not all of them. It gave me around 20 errors so too many

I'd like to check for each cell if the topic has multiple pages, and if so, define a different class for a potion of the code. is there a variable that asks if the topic has more than one page?

I am migrating to SMF - and bringing the current user community (200-300)...

Obviously the password field won't come across - so my thought was to have everyone reset their passwords...

While I can obviously send them an email asking them to go to 'Login' and click 'forgot password' and enter their username or email... I thought it would be much friendlier (and be better received with higher likelihood people would come to the site...) if they each got an email with the password reset link ready to go...

(It was mentioned I could save users a couple of clicks by sending them directly to /index.php?action=reminder - but still requires them to enter username/email - and wait for the email to arrive..

I've tried directly accessing the url passing the user with no success ('Your session timed out while posting. Please go back and try again.')

Is there a way to drive this programmatically (from php? perhaps with cURL?) that someone has already figured out?

Entering 200-300 id's manually isn't my idea of fun... and I want their first experience with SMF and the new site to be a good one...

I read where the failures were prior to uploading them and they were in areas that didn't seem important. I'm accustomed to a different forum host, so I wasn't aware it was that big of a deal. Now I do, so I'll keep it as a future note anytime I'm installing any mod that if there's an error I just want install it.

Thanks, K@ I'll definitely check that out. I'm completely fine with having to reinstall mods. I'm glad the member posts and whatnot will stay, which was my main concern with touching things I don't understand on this forum host. I am definitely learning my lesson here lol Thanks for the help. I made dozens of mods to version 1, in most cases simply eliminating features that made the forum more complex for users and cluttered the screen. I'm hoping some of these many features will be Admin options in version 2 so I can just turn them off.

Then I also downloaded mods that let me put avatars in my board headers, let users post videos, stuff like that. The "friendly version" makes it sound as if all the above will go away. Actually, that's better than what I thought might happen... the new software being incompatible with the mods I made or downloaded.

You can install the mod, but you have to do parts of it manually.

1. Run the install to where it comes up and shows the errors, but don't execute it yet.

2. Make a back up of each of the files that show the install errors.

3. Manually edit those files (not the backed up ones).

4. Execute the install with the errors.

5. Upload the manually edited files to overwrite the ones the install tried to update.

6. If it doesn't work then just auto uninstall it.

That's basically it and what you have to do when many of these mods are not yet updated. Usually it's just something simple which requires editing some of the files manually.

Also when I quote a post then click the link in the quoted post it doesn't take me back to said post, and when I switch pages (ex. going from page 9 to page 10) it takes me to the last post of page 10. Yet I just found out today that it seems it may be a browser problem. I use Firefox, but out of curiosity I loaded my site on IE and all the problems were gone. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I thought maybe someone here might have an answer to my problems with Firefox, cause I do not like IE, at all!

Boa noite, venho falar sobre um erro na página http://ift.tt/WrWWuf eu tenho um fórum teste que está na versão 2.0.5 no entanto enviei a atualização 2.0.8 através do gerenciador de pacotes mas fala que minha versão não é compatível até por que essa atualização é para 2.0.7 se estou com 2.0.5 não será compatível mesmo.

Fui baixar a versão 2.0.5 para 2.0.6 e ele baixa um arquivo errado que é do 1.1.19 para 2.0.8 então creio que é só arrumar para a versão correta no link. Por favor repassar a área correta.

Estou com um problema no fórum, toda vez que tenho que incluir algúm script o fórum fica com erro de as letras do fórum ficarem maior que o normal como se estivesse dando um zoom na página, sabem como resolver isso?

Fui tentar incluir um script pra criar uma página no portal e deu esse erro, fui tentar instalar um mod que inclui script e dá o mesmo erro, instalar normalmente porém os tópicos ficam como se tivesse dado zoom na página.

Este patch Foca corrigir alguns problemas de memória causados por algumas das mudanças em 2.0.7, bem como a fixação de um bug crítico que causou os quadros de aparecer em uma ordem aleatória para fóruns em execução no MySQL versão 5.6 e acima. I like to know if there is a mod to end to create groups of members of limited duration (without going through the paid subscription)?

I use SMF Shop and I would like the members of my forum to use their "credits" at the end of access to different groups based on the "sum" paid.

The "Change Group" function exists in the SMF mod Shop but once the member has been "buying" it belongs to the group for an indefinite period, I change hand in the administration to put the original group after a while but it is very convenient.

A paid subscription but using the points system mod.

Sorry, just finished a sleepover for my sins.

No nothing as complicated. At Admin - Configurations - Theme Settings I scrolled down to Theme Options and Preferences. In the Site Slogan box I placed my URL cause it advises that placing anything in the box will replace the SMF logo, and it worked perfect. But like I say, it just stated my site address, it wasn't a hyperlink to my URL.

I've now got a hyperlink to my site URL but I'm back with the SMF logo.

I've tried deleting the contents of the Site Slogan box and saving, then re-inputting the url and saving. Still got the SMF logo.

Hope you know what I'm doing wrong or what the hell to do right man.

I am writing Policy, About, Terms files to go with the forum I'm building and would like to make these pages available from everywhere and to all visitors via links at the bottom of the page.

I would also like to make these pages look and feel like they're part of the forum; for that, I need to link to the default theme css file and use its selectors for my html elements.

Questions: (1) would that be conforming to the SMF license; (2) do I still need to display the SMF copyright notice; (3) does anyone have a better idea, or has done this already?

I'm on 2.0.8 and wondered if there is a way to embed youtube videos without installing a mod.

I found a recent YT video tutorial which said to wrap the video page link (not the embed code) in . When I tried it, it created half an outline of the video - but the video was not viewable.

I do have bbc enabled...

Is there anything else I'm missing or is this approach not possible?

Premium, in my opinion, would mean more than ten original templates edited. Also don't like the side 3D graphics.

Uhm, editing many templates is not necessarily a sign of better quality. All templates could be changed and it would still look inferior to a one-template edited theme. I would rather suggest things like a pleasing design preferably with a somewhat unique look, useful theme options and maybe support for various mods - as signs of a good quality theme that would deserve the term "premium". Also above average support would perhaps be included in that.

I know many designers just want to ship out themes and get money from them sooner than later - but personally I would not pay anything for a theme that looked worse than a free one. One should expect a certain level of these, otherwise anyone could just stamp a price on something and call it "premium".

Board.template.php doesn't contain detail of what you are looking, so edit the index.css either... And if incase you still don't get, ask for assistance from your theme maker..

Hi All

Yesterday my provider updated to PHP5.4 from PHP5.3 and the forum stopped working, with the permanent error message:

"Connection Problems

Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later. "

I contacted the provider who told me I needed up upgrade to a version of SMF that supports PHP5.4, therefore I upgraded from V1.1.19 to V2.0.8 but it didn't help. The provider has temporarily left PHP5.3 on my domain so that the forum continues to work but requires me to solve the issue because PHP5.3 will be removed shortly.

After reading several problems with this error message I suspect that it has nothing to do with the PHP version itself but is due to a setting that needs to be modified (location, access rights etc.) but I presently don't really know where to start looking.

Does anyone know what setting could be involved and in what file this could be located??

In "Server Settings" (http://ift.tt/VqJpb6), I have change the "Forum Url" value from "hxxp:www.domain.com/forum [nonactive]" to "hxxp:domain.com/forum [nonactive]", but all board, topic,... still don't change the url (still is "hxxp:www [nonactive]...."). In this case, do I have to run repair_settings.php?

Buenas noches a todos, les comento que tengo un foro pequeño pero foro en fin que tiene aproximadamente 11 meses, 254 usuarios, mas de 10000 mensajes, 1840 temas y 11 categorias. El problema que este foro .com no aparece cuando lo googleo sin importar que navegador utilize, al menos en ninguno de los 3 que he probado.

Si aparece escribiendo la direccion correspondiente al mismo en la barra de direcciones, en el foro esta habilitado hace mucho la opcion de visitantes y es de una comunidad de counter strike ( juegos) si se puede decir. El tema es que necesitara que google indexe el contenido del foro si es que asi es como se dice. Me harian el favor de explicarme que deberia hacer para que solo se haga lo solicitado, porfavor de la manera mas facil sencilla dado mi poco conocimiento al respecto del tema en cuestion.

Cualquier informacion adicional que necesiten estoy a su disposicion para brindarlo.

pd. Cuando googleo el nombre de mi comunidad o pagina web, google encuentra la direccion de este foro smf dado que lo he puesto en algunos posteos en otras oportunidades solicitando ayuda y saltan automaticamente en el buscador.

PM's are considered to be private messages between the person sending and the person they are sending to.

What you are asking, is not a feature for just this reason. If I was a member at your site, and found you were forwarding my PM's to you, to another member, you better believe I'd be raising a lot of trouble. Forwarding someone's PM's, without their permission, is a violation of their privacy.

That's one of those real PITA problems...

Hi everyone I have a tough one and very urgent as well.

My forum says that he has been unable to send an email from an announced topic but not to everybody. It seems that it randomly sent a few ones but not all of them. It gave me around 20 errors so too many

I'm having this problem, when I hit the "New" button it doesn't take me to the last post read, it takes me to the last post of the thread. Also when I quote a post then click the link in the quoted post it doesn't take me back to said post, and when I switch pages (ex. going from page 9 to page 10) it takes me to the last post of page 10. Yet I just found out today that it seems it may be a browser problem. I use Firefox, but out of curiosity I loaded my site on IE and all the problems were gone. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I thought maybe someone here might have an answer to my problems with Firefox, cause I do not like IE, at all!

On my forum there is a simple link with words that are identical to my forum name under the menu bar .

I am using the core theme, how do I remove that link and names without removing the forum name at the very top ? I use a portal and that link goes there and is not practical.

Wow u did all that.

Amazing just one thing as i am very impressed with the work you put into it but having it as fb sometimes people are more shy away or scared away using it thinking passwords are at being taken away or something more sinister is happening with this design.

Not everyone feels comfortable using fb and this isn't fb so i hope they are at ease with it.

I think package install fails on MessageIndex.php because you have installed others mods and they modify same file.

I recommend you to see which have not been applied and making them by hand.

About second problem, fields and their inputs are on separate lines and not directly to the right of each other, I think problems is CSS code (perhaps it was not copied when you install with errors, or you do not install on all themes.

Open your CSS file

FORUM_FOLDER/Themes/YOUR_THEME/css/index.css

and copy this code at end

My mod works without the 2 edits to message index (it can be create unimportant warnings messages in logs). If you want applies by hand these 2 edit, read my reply to spotlund.
