I have no idea what the dev team wants. Or what the dev team will be coerced into doing, for that matter. Nor, really, do I care that much. Everything at this point is merely my offering my insight into the code I wrote which, as far as I know, should work on IE8 and style issues aside, I see no reason why it wouldn't. Some errors, if logged in the browser, would be useful.
